Oakham, Rutland, has been selected as the home of Method Gym, a pioneering premium wellness club offering personalised fitness experiences. Set to open in April, it will be the first of its kind in the region.

Less than a mile from the town centre, the club has transformed part of a Co-Op into a state-of-the-art fitness facility. It offers a range of personal training packages, reformer Pilates, infrared saunas, and ice baths, redefining the premium wellness experience.

Method has been founded by local entrepreneur and Stamford-based personal trainer Emily Baxter and is the first facility in the region to provide members with Small Group Personal Training, a smarter, tailored approach to fitness which prioritises the individual.

Following 18-months of planning, Method has been designed to offer a fresh approach to fitness – something that is personal, provides structure, accountability, and support needed for real, lasting transformation.

Emily said: “It was recently reported that almost one in five Brits stop going to the gym after as little as one or two months. It might be that they struggled with consistency, felt overwhelmed by where to start, or simply can’t find flexible timings for more personal, tailored fitness instruction.

“This is why we created Method. Something that bridges the gap between budget gyms and private training – something designed to empower all people of all ages and abilities, help build body confidence improve health and create lasting change.

“Through Small Group Personal Training, our professional team delivers a flexible schedule of tailored coaching to between four and six members at any one time, who can enjoy the motivation, camaraderie, and community of training alongside others. It’s about more than fitness for us – it’s about creating a body and mindset you can be proud of.”

With a team of highly experienced professionals, Method takes a holistic approach to fitness, looking at expectations and building tailored programmes around conditioning, strength and recovery.

The team is qualified in delivering personalised training as well as classes such as Reformer Pilates (one of the fastest growing exercises hitting the UK by storm, which uses specialist equipment to improve strength, flexibility, and posture) as well as one-to-one nutrition and lifestyle advice. One of Method’s unique offerings is its provisions for optimising recovery, through state-of-the-art infrared saunas and ice baths.

Emily continued: “As an old Oakhamian myself, I wanted to establish something that would create a community of like-minded individuals, committed to transforming health through an inclusive, results-driven approach to fitness and wellness.

“Our approach is for someone who is looking to invest in their health and wellbeing for the long term. If you’ve struggled with consistency, felt overwhelmed by where to start, or simply want to train smarter and live healthier, Method provides the structure, accountability, and support needed for real, lasting transformation.”

Method will open in April in Burley Road, Oakham, for those wanting a hands-on personal training experience.
