The August bank holiday weekend will see the conclusion of Leicester's Summer in the City event, with the two-day City Festival. It will be a full weekend of live entertainment, street theatre, dance art, music and sport.

The main attraction will be Storm, a 10-metre tall puppet - the UK's largest - which depicts a folklore giant and goddess of the seas. This will mark her first appearance in England.

On both Saturday (August 27) and Sunday (August 28), Storm will journey through the city, taking a different route each day.

Over the two days, she'll be accompanied dancers, flash mobs, samba bands, Japanese drumming and more.

Mayfly is a spectacular fusion of water, dance and song.

Sunday's attractions include Mayfly. Fusing water, dance and song, the stage will come to life with water effects and leaping fountains.

Mayfly offer an interactive workshop after the first performance to learn more from those involved in the creation. There will also be a Mayfly Touch Tour for those who have a visual impairment. Booking is required for this.

The weekend will also see family friendly activities, installations and workshops on Jubilee Square, a whale experience and inflatable octopus on Humberstone Gate, and other performances throughout the city.
