MCM Comic Con is back with a bang in Birmingham

Iconic Comic Con to be held in neighbouring city: Birmingham.

The fantastic celebration of pop culture and Europe's leading Comic Con event is back this autumn in the neighbouring city of Leicester - Birmingham, which will be held November 13-14.


It doesn't matter if this is your first time or if you are a comic con fan, there is something for all.


There’ll be celebrity guests, panels, independent creators and so much more. Not just for gamers, comic book collectors, film fanatics and cosplayers, there’s something for everyone at MCM Comic Con.

Looking for something different to do with friends this weekend? Whether they’re a Bruce Wayne with an inner Batman, or a Clark Kent concealing a Superman, discover a different side to your mates as you enter the MCM Comic Con universe together.

Film and TV buffs in the group will be pleased to hear there is a whole host of exclusives lined up for this year’s events, as well as celebrities from your favourite movies including internationally renowned actor and producer famous for his roles in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Jumper and upcoming Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen who will be at MCM Birmingham Comic Con this year!

Fun day out with your kids and family

If it’s fun for all the family this October half term or simply a day out with the kids you are after, MCM Comic Con is the place to be. Climb into the Treehouse area to find activities that will keep all the kids entertained, including creative workshops, Quidditch demos and silver sabre training.


Enter Side Quest to unleash your competitive side - from retro gaming for sparking childhood nostalgia or showing mum and dad what you're made of on modern consoles, there’ll be free gaming and tournaments for parents and children alike.

Or why not meet and marvel at your favourite superhero or video game character on the Cosplay Showcase catwalk at Cosplay Central. With everyone from Lord of the Rings hobbits to Jedis from Star Wars, you’ll be sure to spot your favourite characters face-to-face.


Move over axe throwing, if you’re on the look-out for quirky date night ideas why not visit the Pop Asia section and impress your date with a Kpop dance lesson! If they're an art lover, why not whisk them away to the Artist Alley and try your hand at mastering the art of manga together guided by our talented artists?


Virtual experience

If you can’t make it along to the events this year, never fear. MCM Comic Con is launching its first ever virtual event experience, so that wherever you are in the world, you can immerse yourself in the MCM Comic Con universe.

Event Director of MCM Comic Con Teresa Heitor said: “MCM Comic Con is the market leader of pop culture events in the UK and after a break last year, we can’t wait to welcome fans and first-timers into the MCM Comic Con world.
