Prizes of up to £1,000 to be won.
Leicester families can celebrate a Mother's Day to remember this year with a range of treats for mum on offer.
As part of the Welcome Back campaign, 'Make a Date with Leicester' encourages people to spend quality time with their Mum this Mothering Sunday here in the city.
There is a competition to enter too. Over £1,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs for a number of lucky winners to experience with their Mum.
Whether that’s a beautiful gift from an independent retailer, Sunday Lunch, or even treating Mum to some quality time alone to pamper herself it's all here in the city.
Sarah Harrison, City Centre Director at Leicester City Council, said: “Mother’s Day is all about showing the important women in our lives how grateful we are for their help and support. –
"That could be mum, grandma, a step-mum, foster carer, or any strong maternal figure that has helped shape us too."
A new landing page on the Visit Leicester website will guide visitors through a choice of great activities depending on how they want to treat their Mum.
Visitors can find a range of interests and family dynamics as well as events, shopping tips and deals, showcasing just how much local businesses in Leicester have to offer this Mother’s Day.
Competition prizes
Two headline winners will win an overnight stay in the city. One winner will get a stay at The Gresham Aparthotel, a top-to-toe massage at Femi Health & Beauty and dinner at Sonrisa.
Another will enjoy a stay at Novotel Hotel after a pampering day at Ungaro Hair and the Beauty Box, and then enjoy a Cocktail Masterclass at Manhattan 34.
Individual winners will claim experiences such as a trip to see LCFC Women in action, a screening at Phoenix cinema and a meal at Pho.
Other highlights are tickets to see Akram Khan’s Jungle Book at Curve, vouchers for Argento Jewellery, personal styling and afternoon tea at John Lewis Leicester, silver-plated earrings from Set, an Intro Pass to Hot Pod Yoga and a voucher for Desi Street Food.
Make this Mother's Day one to remember, by entering the competition.
