Music venture to host first virtual recruitment fair for potential new employees

You can even tour the office you could be working in.

Music licensing company PPL PRS Ltd, based in Leicester, is increasing its workforce across the region.

PPL PRS will be hosting its first virtual recruitment fair on Thursday, May 6.

The company, which is responsible for issuing TheMusicLicence to businesses that use music on their premises, hired approximately 200 new members of staff ahead of their launch in February 2018.

PPL PRS has continued to attract employees who reflect their core values of ‘passionate’, ‘collaborative’, ‘straightforward’, ‘play fair’, and ‘value music’.

The virtual recruitment fair, which is free to attend via Eventbrite, will include information sessions as well as talks from current members of staff, and the opportunity to view the office space at Mercury Place via a virtual live stream.

Attendees will also have the chance to discuss current positions which include roles in sales, finance, and customer service.

Kevin Underdown, Head of HR at PPL PRS said: “PPL PRS has always been incredibly proud to call Leicester our home and have been continued to be overwhelmed by the talent and sense of community in the area.

"We are very much looking forward to meeting prospective recruits and welcoming them to our vibrant, collaborative team.”

The not-for-profit organisation, which has meeting rooms named after music genres and a 90sqm mural dedicated to music through the decades, now has over 270 members of staff, many of whom have been with the company from the start.

Employees, known as ‘band members’, receive a range of benefits including Perkbox, annual music vouchers, regular social events, as well as a variety of training and career progression opportunities.
