An ambitious taxi operator based in Leicester has added another UK company to its growing portfolio.

With the addition of Plymouth-based Tower Cabs, taxi firm Take Me expands its reach across England.

Leicester-based managing director of Take Me, David Hunter, said: "The company had more acquisitions in the pipeline to be announced in the near future following the additions already this year to the group of ADT Taxis, Steve’s Taxis, VGT Taxis, Westside Taxis, Intercity Private Hire, and TC Cars.”

Plymouth's Tower Cabs owner Peter Bresland told us: “I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all of the exciting new development in the Towercabs story.

"To enable us to move forward and face the challenges of the post covid world, we are joining forces with the Take Me group of companies.

"Take Me is a national group of taxi companies, with sites in Brighton, Birmingham, Leicester, Liverpool, Crew, London, Farnborough, Cambridgeshire."

Peter, who started Tower Cabs back in the 1980s, went on to say: "The group offers driver incentives including cheaper insurance, car replacement, finance.

"This collaboration will enable us to reach new heights and take Tower Cabs to a new level whilst re-establishing our position as the Premier Cab Company in Plymouth.

"There will be lots of exciting developments taking place in the next few months and we want you all to be part of the journey."

Take Me MD David Hunter concluded: “It is exciting times at Take Me as we keep expanding and adding brilliant local businesses to our network fleet.

"Together we can bring our skills and infrastructure from being a national brand but build on the local expertise of these amazing well-established taxi operators.

"It seems to be a great combination, and we are already working on adding to the network over the summer."
