Enjoying the sunshine in a pub garden with friends and family is a delightful experience and one that when the sunshine does make an appearance I like to enjoy with friends.
The inviting atmosphere of a pub garden in the summer provides the perfect backdrop for a break at the weekend when a trip away isn’t possible in the budget.
Who doesn’t love to sit with a sparkling something, sun cream on, enjoying a delicious something you haven’t had to prepare!?
Leicestershire boasts some of the most charming pub gardens, perfect for soaking up the sunshine. Here are my top pub gardens to enjoy in and around Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland this summer.
The White Horse, Quorn
Located in the idyllic village of Quorn, The White Horse boasts a stunning garden that’s ideal for sunny days. This traditional pub offers a mix of shaded areas and sun-drenched spots, surrounded by beautiful flowers and well-maintained lawns. Popular with locals (who are also welcoming to those that aren't) is an ideal spot or those in the area to wile away a few hours in the sun.

The Red Lion is my top pick for enjoying what feels like a trip to the Mediterranean! The garden is designed for enjoying sunny days with a Balearic feel. My children even like this one saying, "It's like being on holiday!"
A highlight of The Red Lion is their woodfired pizza, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and cooked to perfection. A short drive from Market Harborough; this pub boasts a lovely indoor bar too.
Bakers Arms, Blaby
Bakers Arms in Blaby is a charming, traditional pub known for its warm atmosphere and excellent service. Nestled in the heart of the village, it offers a cosy setting with rustic décor, making it a perfect spot for relaxing with friends and family.
